Misha Angèle Turns Heartbreak into Power with “Do Better” — A Soulful Clapback and Self-Love Anthem for the Real Ones. Listen HERE
Release Date: November 13, 2025
Exclusive Early Stream on SoundCloud: October 23, 2025
Los Angeles, CA — Dutch singer-songwriter Misha Angèle is done playing nice. Her new single “Do Better” is the perfect mix of R&B heat, emotional clarity, and female fire, flipping heartbreak into a sharp-edged anthem for anyone tired of repeating the same toxic love loop.
Written in Los Angeles with Candace Sosa (BTS), Do Better was born in March 2025—right after Misha finally hit her breaking point with a man who had been ghosting her while claiming he loved her. “It was toxic, messy, and painful,” she says. “But I turned it into a song instead of another heartbreak.”
Candace Sosa recalls their writing session: “Oh boy,” she laughs, “this guy really took it too far. You shouldn’t do this kind of shit when there’s real love involved—it’s just not fair. Misha channeled that chaos into pure art.”
And that’s exactly what Do Better sounds like: therapy with a beat. It starts in anger and ends in peace—equal parts emotional release and empowerment. Misha doesn’t just call out the man who wronged her; she calls herself in, too. “This song is my mirror,” Misha says. “It’s not just about him doing better—it’s about me doing better for myself. I want women to feel that. You can still be heartbroken and in full power.”
Musically, the single glows with sultry R&B textures and cinematic energy—think SZA meets H.E.R. with a Kehlani bite. Misha’s voice floats through layers of harmonies and truth bombs, balancing vulnerability with sass.
Playlist curators are already calling Do Better “the self-worth anthem of cuffing season” and “the song you play when you finally block that man for good.”
The track will first drop on SoundCloud (October 23), giving day-one fans an exclusive preview before its worldwide release on November 13. It also launches Misha’s “Hotline Her” experience—a digital confession booth where fans can share their own heartbreak stories, get cheeky advice from Misha herself, and join a community built on self-respect and real talk.
“I want fans to feel like we’re in this together,” Misha says. “We’ve all had that one guy who made us question our sanity. ‘Do Better’ is the goodbye letter we never sent.”
Misha Angèle drops ‘In Love’ EP after going viral. Listen HERE
Hit singer-songwriter Misha Angèle drops ‘In Love’ EP after going viral on her own label THE BEACH June 10, 2025.
Three years after its original release, Misha Angèle’s dreamy debut single ‘In Love’ is having a major moment — and she’s celebrating with a full In Love EP, out June 10 on her own label, THE BEACH.
Originally released in 2022, In Love features powerhouse vocals from none other than Michael Rice (yep, the UK’s Eurovision 2019 star). The song quietly made waves on Dutch radio back then — but in early 2025, it exploded on TikTok and Instagram, catching fire all over again. Now, it’s racked up over 80,000 streams on Spotify and 150,000+ views on YouTube Music.
So what’s ‘In Love’ really about? That wild rush when you lock eyes with someone, your whole body reacts, and it hits you — this might be the love of my life. You want to speak, but nothing comes out. You just hope they feel it too. It’s that movie moment, captured in a smooth pop/RnB slow jam with a heartbeat.
Misha Angèle wrote the song in a sketchy Airbnb near Hollywood’s Walk of Fame — no AC, just a guitar, her phone, and a lot of sweat. She always dreamed of working with Michael Rice and when he heard the track, he was instantly down. They recorded vocals at 4AM in Wisseloord Studios (The Netherlands), and you can hear the magic. Their voices melt together like that sticky summer night.
Behind the scenes, Misha Angèle (real name Marcia Sondeijker) is no stranger to hits. She’s a double platinum-selling songwriter with over 500 million streams and 790,000+ albums sold worldwide. Her credits? Only TAEYEON’s global smash “Weekend,” TAEMIN’s “Strings,” and Eurovision’s “Pray for Me” for Kristin Husøy. She even landed multiple #1s on iTunes and Billboard’s Dance Airplay Chart (shoutout Max Styler & Laura White!). Oh — and did we mention she won the Dutch version of Songland (I Want Your Song) with “Love Letter” for girl group OG3NE? Casual.
The ‘In Love’ EP is co-written by Misha Angèle and Kobe White, and produced by Misha herself and Roulsen — who’s worked with RED VELVET, Timmy Trumpet, TAEMIN, and Dutch stars like Maan.
This EP is a full-circle moment: a song written in the heat of a Hollywood summer now getting the global love it always deserved.
Misha Angèle releases her new single CAN’T COUNT. Listen HERE
You’re not single and not in a relationship either. It’s kinda unclear. The push and pull between you and your guy wears you out. You allow him to fuck with your mind and you feelings as he keeps pushing your boundaries. You can’t be with him or without him and so you’re up all night in case he texts you leaving you without sleep. But there’s no way you can count on him anyway and it hurts you.
Written in LA (Silver Lake) in Ben Cassorla’s studio, where he worked with Olivia Rodrigo at the same time, this smooth RnB song is a serenade to all people as a support for not being able to let go of their ex yet. 3 years later, Misha Angèle records her dazzling and airy vocals in her own studio in The Netherlands with a Neumann U47 giving it the magic you can hear. ‘Can’t Count’ is the perfect slow jam to sing along and to repeat.
‘Can’t Count’ is written by Misha Angèle herself and Alexandra Veltri. Produced by Roulsen and Ben Cassorla (Olivia Rodrigo).

Have you ever met the love of your life? You hold your breath, feel your blood pumping through your body, your heart jumping out? You try to speak, but the words won’t come out? ‘In Love’ is about that split second where your whole world changes by meeting a stranger and falling in love instantly. And your only hope is that the other feels the same. A smooth pop r&b song with a steady beat that keeps you moving to its colors. Written in a dodgy airbnb near the Walk of Fame in Hollywood in the middle of the summer ‘18 without AC, just a guitar and an iPhone to record vocals promises you a melting-away-ballad.
Misha Angèle has always been a big fan of Michael Rice and his soulful vocals had to be on this track. When she played him ‘In Love’, Michael was in love with it instantly. They recorded the song at 4am at the famous Wisseloord Studio in Hilversum, The Netherlands, giving it the spacious and romantic shades the track asks for. Their vocals together sound like that hot summer of ‘18 without AC, perfect to put on repeat.
Michael represented the United Kingdom by the British public at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, which was watched by an audience of 250 million viewers around the world. Michael’s new single ‘Gotta Go Dancing’, powered by Mastercard is released on June 22, 2022 and will be used worldwide for their global campaign.
‘In Love’ is written by Misha Angèle herself and Kobe White. Produced by herself and Roulsen.
